2. Breeding nature and ability

Decide on what Ability and nature you want on your Pokemon. I always go to Serebii or Smogon to see what moves, abilities and nature I want.

Ability:
Breeding Pokemon with the Normal ability is easy, but breeding a Pokemon with the Hidden Ability is slightly more difficult.

You will need a female Pokemon with the right ability to start with, you will have a 60% chance of passing the ability down.

You can find Hidden Ability Pokemon in the Friend Safari and in Hordes. Take a Pokemon with the ability Trace (Ralts) with you to find the Pokemon with the right ability.

Example:
Fletchling has Big Pecks for normal ability (will turn into Flame Body when it evolves)
Fletchling has Gale Wings as its hidden ability (this ability is good for competitive battle)

I always make sure I have a female with the right ability first then ill go for the nature.

Nature:
Pokemon are divided in egg groups and they can only breed with Pokemon in the same egg group. So if you go to Serebii and look for the Pokemon you are breeding you will see an Egg group section where you can see what Pokemon can breed with each other.  

Now you will have to find a male Pokemon in the same egg group with the right nature (Ditto works as well). Then give the male the everstone and breed with the female till you get the right nature and ability. You can also get the right nature by using a Pokemon with the ability Synchronize. If you encounter a Pokemon and the Pokemon with the ability Synchronize is in the first slot you will have a 50% chance of getting the same nature on the Pokemon you captured.
